Special Annual Events

Theophany

January.  Every year we gather at the beach in Ala Moana for the blessing of the waters and the throwing of the cross.

Agape Picnic

Spring.  Each year we celebrate the resurrection of Our Lord with a special Agape Service.  During this service the gospel is read in numerous languages.  Because of the cultural diversity of our church the service is often read in Greek, English, Russian, German, Ukrainian, Latin, French, Spanish, Korean, Tagalog, Japanese, Arabic & Serbian.  After the service our friends and family celebrate with a delicious Pascha Picnic held in our garage extension.  Dancing and music follow the luncheon.

Greek Festival

August.  The annual Greek Festival is normally held on the last weekend of August at McCoy Pavilion at Ala Moana Park.  The festival features religious outreach, Greek food, and dance presentations, as well as gift and delicatessen products from Greece.   The Greek Festival is held over a two-day period, but it takes many months of planning and preparation.  A cadre of volunteers, friends, family and members of the community pitch in to bake, cook and serve at the festival. Our parish is grateful for the many volunteers who graciously assist us each year.  We would not be able to put on this festival without their support.

Unfortunately, there are no current plans for a festival this year.  Should we schedule a festival, this page will be updated.
