Learn to bake Greek food
Throughout the year the members of the church bake pastries and other Greek foods. The food and baked goods are sold as part of fund raising for the church and its charities. For more information call the office at (808)521-7220. Some of the specific baking projects include:
Holiday Baking - Philoptochos
- December and January Holiday - Nativity of our Lord, and New Years
- Agape Picnic (Easter)
Philoptchos uses this as a fund raiser to support various local charities.
In preparation for our annual Greek Festival numerous bake days are scheduled for several months before the festival. This fundraiser benefits the church building and maintenance fund.
The life of the Orthodox Church perpetuates and fulfills the ministry of Jesus Christ. The close association between Christ and His Church is reflected in the images from the Scriptures which declare that Christ is the Head and the Church is His Body, and that Christ is the Bridegroom and the Church is His bride.
